Dancer Man

Hi! I have always wanted to do a post of Ryan's best dancing moments.  If only I had the dancing video when he was age 5 months in Green Bay, it explains it all.

Ry's blog - All Good Things Must Come to an End

Ryan at Play in Roswell

Hello Family and Friends! Again, much time has lapsed between blog posts...4 months, actually.  With Ryan no longer consistent with his napping or attending preschool due to summer break, I have found little to no time to update the blog.  Thus, I have decided to end Ryan's blog updates despite his returning to preschool the first week of September.

So...what has happened since mid-April?!: Preschool ended, and Ryan will be moving to the 3 days at 3 class with Ms. Amy A. starting next week.
Ryan also...
  • turned 3 at the end of May & had three separate birthday celebrations (school, family, & preschool-age friends)
  • visited Wisconsin; he was there for his 3rd birthday & a fun Memorial Day parade
  • went on several camping trips with Mom & Dad in the N. GA mountains
  • his BFF, Finn, moved to Cumming & no longer lives directly across the street
  • attended a Sports Tykes program and learned about 4 different sports
  • traveled to rainy Florida & got to swim in a different pool every day (no beach, too rainy)
  • visited "Play" in Roswell almost every other Monday (Play closed today)
  • had few playgroup play dates with his Moms Club friends (ends this Tuesday)
  • has given up night pull-ups & is doing a bit better with his bedtime battles
  • spent more time indoors than outdoors due to our NW USA-like weather (so. much. rain.)
  • got a fish...a female betta that he named Nemo.
So there is a summer, pretty much in review!  Here are some pictures to prove it (-:

No cake but he was recognized for turning 3 and everyone sang "Happy Birthday."

WISCONSIN TRIP 2013

Happy Boy on the Way to Green Bay! Announced, "My Birthday is starting!" when the plane landed.
We told him that once we got to Green Bay, he would turn 3. He was a delight on the plane. I was bursting with pride.  God burst that bubble on the way home & let's just say another child came home with us.  (see below)

So Sweet! Aunt Sheila took this one...one of my favs. DePere's annual Memorial Day parade.
We love parades!

BOATING WITH GRANDPA DAN - Bay of Green Bay
May 2013

Went for lunch and a treat with Grandpa Dan...wearing that treat
Maybe a 4pm flight after a long week is not such a good idea.  After having a breakdown of sorts, he just passed out.  I think the people in front of us were happy about that.  He did; however, wake up about 15 minutes before landing, and well, let's say he still wasn't all that well-rested.
THIRD BIRTHDAY PARTY - 3 Friends at 3 times 2!
Dave and I always said we'd have 3 friends at age 3 for his birthday party. When Ryan was told that his guest list included 3 children, he told me, "Mommy, I need more friends."  We agreed on 3 playgroup buddies and 3 neighborhood buddies.  I think 4 friends at 4 is out the window. He likes to party too much.
Ryan and his BFF, Finn.

Can't get enough of those big browns...Ryan feels the same about watermelon.

Feeding fish in the pond was the "big hit" at the birthday party.
Thankfully, no kids fell in the pond.

My favorite birthday group shot.

"OH YEA, I AM 3!"

CAMPING TRIP #1

Lovely...we are now staying at state parks only. Less mud.
 IN AND AROUND TOWN

One of our few pool days this summer. Rained 19 out of 22 days straight.
Had a small break. Then on and off for a week or two.  After that, more rain.
Just got over a 10 day spell of straight rain & clouds about 2 days ago.

Seeing "the juggler" at the library. Life will never be the same.

Nice day at Newtown with Samson, his big brother, Miles and Ryan.

Taking a picture through the window at Sports Tykes.

QUITE A FEW PICS OF THE ROSWELL SPRAYGROUND
I just like these, but not much attendance this summer.

JULY 4th PARADE...Cumming, GA
with the Hugoo family & Ms. Julie

When the woman I contacted about the parade said it would be loud,
we NEVER could have imagined how loud. It is a steam engine parade, and each steam engine
blows its whistle long and loud.  You need earplugs.  First timers, mistake.
We didn't have any.

FLORIDA - JULY 2013

Swimming in Mimmy & Pappy's pool

Our 5-minute beach trip...here comes the rain, RUN!
With Cousin Meghan and Aunties Jayne and Susie

With Karly and Lily Barton! Love to see the Barton girls. So good with Ry!

With Pappy & meeting 2nd cousins, Caiden and Kylie

With Cousins Andrew, Meghan, Sean & his children, Caiden & Kylie Harman
Cheyenne and Alicia weren't with us at the park
The end of our FL trip, finally meeting Griffin in Jacksonville. Both boys age 3.
1 month apart .... last time these boys were "together" - they were in their mother's bellies.
Mom & Dad's Charlotte friends.

Home again - with buddies - Ryan and Olivia
With Gabby P! Together again...after nearly 2 months of not seeing one another.
Longest streak of not seeing each other.  Same goes for Ryan and Olivia, above.

CAMPING TRIP #3 - at Lake Winfield Scott Park.
So, it rained on this trip.  We had one clear night & a fun day. Had to pack it up on day two due to tropical moisture unleashing itself on the N. GA mountains.  Camping trip #2 not pictured...those pics are on Dad's Ipad. That was a muddy trip too!

So family and friends...there are a lot of pictures here, and I hope you are not disappointed by the one video I included. It is simple and quiet. It is at the rice table at "Play."  You can even see Ryan's favorite Play dog that he named, "Ink Spot."  Play was our favorite summer "haunt."  They closed their doors today after 9 years. We liked it there.  Just like its name, you got to play.

Playgroup is also ending this week. After nearly 3 years of regular meetups, the Ducklings/
Hummingbirds will fold up their wings & move on.  But as the proverbial door closes, there will also be the new... He has grown so much in the three years since I started this blog, with endings and beginnings throughout, I end this post with two pictures that are firsts for Ryan: his first pet & his first picture of mom & dad.
