Ryan - My Buddies - Playgroup, Babyswap, & Kanka

This post is dedicated to Ryan and all his sweet friends & their mommies that make our lives so much fun!
BEST-PICTURE-EVER!
As you all know, Ry has a playgroup that provides him with plenty of socialization & of course, he has his neighborhood buddies - his main pals, being Bianca, "Kanka" V & Finn K.

KANKA - Bianca
Ryan and Bianca & their mommies met one HOT August day in 2010 while walking around about 6pm.  Ryan was 3 months, and Bianca was 21 months, about the age Ryan is now.  Bianca's mother, Monica, invited me for coffee and the rest is history.

Ryan and Bianca "today" Well, last month, really.
Bianca started preschool in early March. She's a BIG girl now!
We are very proud of her big achievement.
THE DUCKLINGS/HUMMINGBIRDS/HUMMINGBEES/Babyswap
Ryan and I joined the East Roswell Moms Club in September 2010 and attended our first event a few days before Ryan turned 5 months old.  In September 2011, our group was so large we split into the Hummingbirds and the Bumblebees or as we sometimes call ourselves...The HummingBees...ha!
Here are the buds today:

And little "L" from last fall...can't forget her pic.  Need an updated one!

Can't forget to mention the ladies of "Babyswap"...keep your thoughts to yourself there! A Moms Club "splinter group" formed out of necessity.  Ryan, Olivia, and Gabby get to hang out every Friday while their mommies get some time to run errands or go to a doctor's appt, alone. Sometimes, we also dust or mop our floors. Very rarely, do we go and get a manicure. (Um, and that would just be me & just once). Here are the kids about 2 weeks ago:

THE IVEY RIDGE GANG
Lastly, but not at all leastly, here are the Ivey Ridge Ladies (for our final big group pic) a week ago Monday.  Sadly, two of our families are leaving and moving to different states.  Please note there are 2 little girls in this picture-that's it.  If you know anyone wanting to have a son, move here. If they want a girl, join our playgroup. (-:

Ryan - Target Free Tuesdays at Imagine It!

Tuesdays are free after 1pm at the Imagine It! Children's Museum in Atlanta.  With Ryan's nap schedule being off due to the time change, I took advantage of this opportunity, and we spent about 2 hours there on Tuesday afternoon.  What a great time!   I have also included pictures of fun activities of Ryan around the house this past week or so.

Placing balls in the "Giant Ball Machine"

A pic of the "Giant Ball Machine"
Children use levers, screws, pulleys, etc...to move balls around this machine.
Ryan loves it! He is here just watching the balls move around.
It was cute because he would stand there for a minute or two just looking.

Saying, "yum" for a piece of broccoli in the pretend garden.

Ryan at the "Fundamentally Food" exhibit.  Children learn about how food goes from farm to table.
Ryan just likes rolling things off the pretend truck's conveyor belt into the grocery store.

More "Fundamentally Food"

The water table in the "Leap Into Learning" exhibit.

Ryan enjoys his splash table at home, and we've spent a good 20 mins here during both our visits.

Special exhibition..."Clifford"  Here kids are sliding down
Clifford the Big Red Dog. Ryan waits his turn.

Driving another truck at the Clifford exhibit.  We were here a while.

Back to "Fundamentally Food" where Ryan hopped on the tractor about 4 or 5 times during our visit.
FYI:  He would not milk the cows at this exhibit.

Although he would not milk the cows, he did like the slide near the cow.

More "Busy Gears" like the ones he has at home.
He met up with several toddlers about his age here. Clearly,
this is the age for "busy."

At home, Ryan loves blowdryers.  He has loved the noise since he was born. I finally broke down and got him his own,
so he would stop carrying mine around the house.

Making music. The drum gets out some of his energy.

Seriously, the fireman's hat was his idea.

Here is one of my many attempts at being creative.
Sticking Ryan in the shower with shaving cream and letting him have a good time playing in it.

Ryan - Pics of Orlando and home...

Thought we'd start Monday by sending some pics of our favorite superguy (hanging from some monkey bars no less - with Daddy's help, of course!)

Ryan using a homemade ramp to roll balls.

Ryan still loves his busy gears and uses them in conjunction with his stacking blocks.
 ORLANDO!!!!
Ryan on his way to Orlando, Florida.

I love this pic of Ryan about to head down a slide at the hotel.

Making friends at the hotel playground.

Golfing with Daddy...sweet pic!

"Wait, Daddy...I think I see a ball over there."

"...And there it is! Quite a big ball, eh?!"

"Don't I look thrilled to meet, Mickey?" Meeting Mickey and friends at Epcot's Character Spot
was Ryan's least favorite activity. Other than that, he had a blast.
Spaceship Earth (the big golf ball) was Ryan's favorite ride both inside and out!

Seriously, most toddlers do not dig the characters. Ours was one of them.  He sorta warmed up to Mickey, Donald, and Minnie, but he was fearful of Pluto and Goofy.  By the time he saw Goofy, he just shook his head and kept saying, "No, Goofy, All Done, All Done, Bye-Bye." We got the message and did not walk up to Goofy.

"Please don't make me meet Goofy - he's too big. - I see him over there"

Dancing on the muscial shapes at the Imagination pavillion.

Eating at Epcot's France. Ry was very hungry and wiped out an ENTIRE piece of fish & some string beans.
Ry also go to meet this cute little mouse from Disney's Ratatouille. He just kept saying, "mouse, mouse."'

Making music with Daddy at the Imagination pavillion.

Playing some drums ... oh yeah, LOVED IT.

Once a little boy finishes playing drums
he needs some ice cream to regain his energy.

Had a great day at Epcot!
