Ry Ry hits the beach & more!

In the water, not pool water...beautiful beach day!!

BEACH BOY!

What a great trip to Florida! Ryan was such an excellent little traveler on both flights, and he had a ball in between.  Ry got to stay at Mimmy and Pappy's, and he had a concert with them while Mommy attended her high school reunion.   He had a nice visit with his Great-Nanny Ellie aka Nanny - who kept on saying how cute he was.  Ryan went to the beach with his mommy in Jupiter (after a quick visit to Mimmy's office).  He also went to the Ft. Pierce Inlet State Park beach with the Barton girls.  Finally, he got to visit Uncle David and Aunt Shari's house & swam in the pool with cousins, Andrew and Alicia.  We tired the poor guy out & he had some sniffles after putting in some major vacation time.

Are you ready for this?
 JUPITER ISLAND
Whee....waves!

Yep, I found my spot among the coral.

...and this cool shell - no hermit crabs inside.

Still loving my spot

Thank you for the putting course - too bad Ryan was too tired!
Daddy took the club when Ryan insisted on using it like a driver and not a putter.

Ryan-Such love!

Ryan with Percy/'arry (a train) in a blanket
Today was our first "real day" apart & boy did I miss my little guy.  Ryan went to VBS Sports Camp for four hours.  He told me that he missed me.  He also said, "I find you, Mama" when I picked him up. I asked what he did, and he said, "I played puzzles. I play baseball."  He even said some other stuff I could not quite understand.  He then told me he missed the car, the house, and when he saw Ikey, he told him that he missed Ike too.  Then at bedtime tonight, he kept telling me he missed me. Oh, such love!

His look is so much like my Uncle Gilles' expression

Ryan loves small appliances.  I can give him lots of veggies to
put in the food processor shoot and just watch him (yes, I watch him!) press the button.
He stays away from the blade. He likes to help prepare meals and bake.

His trains wrapped in a blanket.

Just before he left the car to go to "Camp" today.
I wonder if he will like camp tomorrow.

Ryan-Surf and Turf

 SURF

...and TURF!

It is "naptime," and Ryan is playing away in his crib.  I am listening to him yelling, "okay, boys!" Not sure who he is talking to but he has no problem asking his toys (or anyone for that matter) to watch him sing, dance or do a silly move, usually the last of those three.  He will say, "Watch me, boys!" Or, "Watch me, Thomas (as in Thomas the Tank Engine)." He even asks characters in books to watch him do various things.  It must be true that kids cannot distinguish between TV and reality. I know it is for Ryan because he requests interaction where I would not.

So, what is up with the Surf and Turf? This week we went to the GA Aquarium with Ryan's Gymboree buddy, Logan.  What a fun day! The boys had a really good time despite Ryan refusing to go in Logan's car.  Logan's mom had to move the extra carseat to our car.

For lunch, we went to Chick-fil-A with our playgroup friend, Lane, for Cow Appreciation Day.  Ryan dressed as a "Cow Train Engineer" (still looked cute despite my forgetting a kerchief).  For those not familiar with Cow Appreciation Day, anyone who wears a cow costume receives a free meal.  Dinner here we come!

I do hope to upload more videos soon, but I have not moved them off our camera much less to youtube.  Until then, here are a few more pics of Ryan and friends.

They actually stood still and together for a pic

Finally learned how to do portrait picture uploads..I think!

Ry's Holiday - Happy Independence Day!

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!

It's the Fourth of July & this has always been one of my favorite holidays.  I am so happy that Ryan had a great July 4th...so far - he has yet to go to bed (well, it is just 645pm).  Ryan will not be watching the fireworks tonight (no nap), but he did get to go to a parade today in Marietta.

Here are some pics from today's parade and some other goings-on in the Puyleart household.

Ryan was a flag-waving pro.  I didn't even have to explain when to wave the flag. He just knew and would wave the flag and hand without any prompting from me. He enjoyed the parade with his friend, Finn, and they both said that they had fun. Ryan's went something like this: "Umm, Umm, parade FUN!..."

CAMERA MAN - Last night:
Ryan's first turn using the camera.  There were many pictures of the floor, ceiling, etc...but here are some good ones.
