| Ry at the Ritz...a pretty darn good boy if I do say so myself! |
Hi Everyone! Had a wonderful FIRST Mother's Day today. Dave got us breakfast then allowed me to do my own thing this morning, which was a trip to the gardening department at Home Depot and then off to Pikes for a few more flowers not at the Depot. I planted most of the morning through early-afternoon, but I couldn't wait to hang with my son. (Daddy was going to go biking when I finished up, and he did).
It was great to know we had reservations at the Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead for dinner. Even though I spent several hours away from my boys earlier in the day, I was okay knowing we would have a nice dinner together. And, when I say NICE dinner...I mean OUTSTANDING dinner. I was wondering if the 5pm "brunch" reservation was worth the price - and I must say the buffet was amazing - tall ice sculptures, beautifully detailed, delicious food, & a terrific wait staff. I felt really special being treated to such an incredible meal just one year into the job. I did miss my Mom and Nanny tons, and I really wish they were there with us. I kept tearing up and felt very, very blessed to be there to celebrate my first Mother's Day.
Well, I go on and on...the real reason you are here is that I am raising my gorgeous little boy who almost always looks at me with such delight (the same way I look at him!) Cute little guy - he is a biter though - and he smiles after he does it. Little imp. So, watch out!
Still need to upload the video of Ryan chatting away, but I do have one adorable video of Ryan pushing his friend and our neighbor's 17 month old son, Finn, on his Thomas the Tank Engine on Friday evening.
Enjoy the cuteness:
Finally, just to brag...when we finished dinner at The Ritz this evening - this very nice looking woman came up to me when Dave took Ryan out, and I was finishing up to leave. (Ry was antsy after being there an hour and 15 minutes). The woman said that she hoped we were having more children because our son was the "cutest little porkchop" she had ever seen. Awwwwww! Music to a Momma's Ears. Well, maybe not the porkchop part, but how cool is it for someone to tell you to go ahead and have more kids because yours is so cute!
Love and hugs,
One Blessed Momma
